Remington Pattern 14 Enfield in
.303 British
£650
This P14 Enfield has been produced by Remington during the First World War, the rifle is matching numbers on bolt and body and retains the original rear-sight whilst also having a mount for the very popular target sites installed. Like most P14’s it is missing the volley sights. The rifle has clear strong rifling and a smooth action with metalwork all in good condition.
The p14 was developed by enfield to be the successor to the SMLE prior to the First World War as a result of the superiority of the Boer Mauser during the Boer wars. As result the P14 is a Mauser actioned rifle. These rifles did see service in the First world war and with the Home Guard in the Second World War, they were also the predecessor to the American M1917 Rifle.
