A fantastic condition Lee Enfield SMLE MKIII dating from 1912 and having come from the 3rd North Staffordshire Regiment as marked on the brass butt disk, made at enfield armoury . This rifle has a magazine cutoff, volley sights, windage adjustable rear sight . the rifle has clear and sharp rifling with no pitting and shoots well at 100 - 300 yards. there is a small arsenal repair to the stock at heel that will have most likely been done during arsenal refurbishment in 1936 as stamped on the rifle.
