Lee Enfield MKV trails rifle in .303
£3250
The MKV SMLE was produced as a trials rifle in 1922 and 1924 with 20,000 examples being made exclusivly at R.S.A.F. Enfield. This SMLE is different to all other variants as the MKV has a rear aperture sight, a slightly modified safety and an additional barrel band. Like the MKIII* it has a simplified cocking piece and no volley sight, it does however have a magazine cut off.
This rilfe is a great example of the MKV being all matching numbers and retaining much of its original parts, it has the original magazine cut off without a hole in it, rear sight, barrel bands, nose cap, trigger and trigger guard, the bolt handle has been replaced at factory. it does have a standard length butt as the MKV were all produced with short buts and a possible replacement top wood hand guard.
The bore on the rifle is great and it shoots excellently when tested at 100yards
